On a little island in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey you will come across a fireplace that someone has made, and up on a hill you’ll find a little leaf man. I don’t know that I would have recognized it for the homage it was, but Ubisoft confirmed it was a nod to the Breath of the Wild’s Koroks.
Guess they are big fans also.
THIS IS…the opening of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It is indeed the Battle of Thermopylae and you play as none other than King Leonidas himself. The title is a reference to a line from the movie. Real fans will totally get it and everything.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is a game that isn’t necessarily a technical showpiece of a game, especially when compared to the gorgeous open world of Horizon Zero Dawn. It is still a beautifully designed world with wonderful art, gorgeous green vistas dotted with the white cliffs that azure waves crash into.
