I know, I know–as part of the internet I’m supposed to hate Anthem. Silly me, but I’m something of a rebel, and I’ve actually much enjoyed my time with it. My review should be incoming soon, but in the meantime have a cool screenshot.
This scene takes place in Darksiders 3 and for big fans like myself it was pure nirvana…for a few seconds. Considering how poorly the newest sequel seems to have done the likelihood of us ever actually seeing this–let alone getting the game teased at the end of the original Darksiders–is almost zero.
I was going to write an intro, but…I mean just look at him.
We all know those people who can’t live without the constant attention, and it makes total sense that Bowser would be someone that would hog the limelight in a Photo Shoot. My poor daughter was playing Princess Peach, and thanks to King Koopa you can barely see her.
I mean, we knew he was a Wolf, but look at him chow down on that meat. Yeesh.
The Messenger is among some amazing indie company this year, and I had a lot of fun playing it. There were moments among the action though that struck me as beautifully created art. This is one of them.
Even though talk of a zombie skin for Mario Odyssey leaked ahead of time, I still had a hard time believing it when it turned out to be official. It also meant I was required to pony up the 8,000 coins it costed and to take a few photos. Of course this lead me to getting sucked back into Super Mario Odyssey all over again.
Dang you Nintendo, your clever marketing worked!

On a little island in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey you will come across a fireplace that someone has made, and up on a hill you’ll find a little leaf man. I don’t know that I would have recognized it for the homage it was, but Ubisoft confirmed it was a nod to the Breath of the Wild’s Koroks.
Guess they are big fans also.
THIS IS…the opening of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. It is indeed the Battle of Thermopylae and you play as none other than King Leonidas himself. The title is a reference to a line from the movie. Real fans will totally get it and everything.
